WELCOME TO WEST DUNES AVIATION

The company was registered as West Dunes Properties 37 (Proprietary) Limited on 26 January 2004. On 23 June 2008 the name of the Company was changed to West Dunes Aviation (Proprietary) Limited, as the Company purchased a Helicopter.

The founding directors have always had an interest in helicopter flying. SJ Martens started his PPL during 1996 and AF Britz started and completed his PPL during 2004. SJ Martens and AF Britz owned a helicopter EC 120 in partnership prior the involvement with the Company.

The Company purchased a Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter with registration ZS-ROJ on 26 March 2008. It served their own purpose for transport and keeping their pilot licenses current. It was also rented out to cover costs of insurance and maintenance.

Our operations are conducted from 378 Jill Street, Waterkloof Glen, 0181. Our helicopter is hangered at Wonderboom with Heli-Fix, Wonderboom Airport Hanger No 37, with whom we have a service agreement.

On 1 March 2012, the management team decided to obtain an operator’s license, and we approached the SACAA regarding the process to be followed to obtain a Air Service Licence and a Operating Certificate (AOC).

The Company’s machine, generates more income for the Company and we intend to employ a full time Pilot for game capture, game darting, game counting and other related game work.
